The Fundraising Foundations course aims to provide a solid baseline for getting started with raising funds. The training explores a non-profit pathway and provides many examples from conscious businesses, offers value-based and solution-based approaches, and explains how institutional funders view and evaluate work in sectors that Transition activities cover.
The training starts by exploring a variety of funding possibilities and showing which ones are accessible at each Transition stage. It progresses by taking a closer look at Transition activities and grant funding timelines. There are sessions dedicated to creating project proposals and budgets. Lastly, it offers Transition groups various legal options for choosing an organizational structure. The learning portion of each session is around 15 to 25 minutes long. After each session there are discussion questions and an activity.
